Hello, thanks for visiting my gallery. I’m an artist Anna Tikhomirova.

I live and work in London. I have been very fortunate to be able to paint from the very early age, in fact, as long as I can remember myself, because both my parents were artists as well as the majority of my aunts and uncles and cousins.

I graduated from Stroganov Art University in Moscow in 1997 and have been painting professionally ever since. I am working in a realistic style. I highly value traditional painting skills and constantly try to improve my techniques. I draw my inspiration from the great artists of the past from Renaissance, Baroque, Art Nouveau periods.

I exhibit regularly, mainly locally in Richmond-upon-Thames. We have a most beautiful section of the river Thames here looping around several times and creating many exciting views all along. Colourful boats, many bridges, several magnificent parks - Richmond is a dream place for an artist.

I love painting reflections, that's why water is often present in my landscapes and a lot of my still life is on the glass surfaces. My other passion is painting cats. These creatures are so incredibly graceful in any position they chose to take. They simply demand to be painted - and I humbly obey :-) I often paint cats on commission and also run the online cat art club called Cat Art Garden where I try to promote the artistic activities amongst the cat fans.
