She believes that increasing the amount of beauty in the world should be the main target of any artist. In her own words:"A painting, hanging on the wall in your home, should bring you delight, tune you to the finer feelings, tease your imagination. When I come across a well-painted picture, carefully matched colours, wittily balanced composition, true visual feast, it gives me almost physical pleasure. That's how I try to paint myself."
